Siree Raag, Third Mehl:
Those who have the Support of the True Name are in ecstasy and peace forever.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they obtain the True One, the Destroyer of pain.
Forever and ever, they sing the Glorious Praises of the True One; they love the True Name.
When the Lord Himself grants His Grace, He bestows the treasure of devotion. ||1||
O mind, sing His Glorious Praises, and be in ecstasy forever.
Through the True Word of His Bani, the Lord is obtained, and one remains immersed in the Lord. ||1|| Pause ||
In true devotion, the mind is dyed in the deep crimson color of the Lord's Love, with intuitive peace and poise.
The mind is fascinated by the Word of the Guru's Shabad, which cannot be described.
The tongue imbued with the True Word of the Shabad drinks in the Amrit with delight, singing His Glorious Praises.
The Gurmukh obtains this love, when the Lord, in His Will, grants His Grace. ||2||
This world is an illusion; people pass their life-nights sleeping.
By the Pleasure of His Will, He lifts some out, and unites them with Himself.
He Himself abides in the mind, and drives out attachment to Maya.
He Himself bestows glorious greatness; He inspires the Gurmukh to understand. ||3||
The One Lord is the Giver of all. He corrects those who make mistakes.
He Himself has deceived some, and attached them to duality.
Through the Guru's Teachings, the Lord is found, and one's light merges into the Light.
Attuned to the Name of the Lord night and day, O Nanak, you shall be absorbed into the Name. ||4||25||58||
Hindi Translation (हिंदी अनुवाद)
उन जीवों को सुख आनंद की प्राप्ति होती है, जिनको सत्य नाम का आश्रय प्राप्त है।
गुरु का उपदेश ग्रहण करने वालों ने सत्य स्वरूप परमात्मा को पाया है, जो समस्त दुखों की निवृति करता है।
प्रायः सत्य स्वरूप परमात्मा के गुणों का गायन करें तथा सत्य नाम के साथ प्रेम करें।
परमात्मा ने अपनी कृपा-दृष्टि द्वारा उन्हें भक्ति का भण्डार प्रदान किया है।॥ १॥
हे मेरे मन ! उस परमात्मा के गुणों का गायन करते रहो, तुम्हें सदा आनंद बना रहेगा।
सतिगुरु के उपदेश द्वारा हरि-नाम को प्राप्त करें, तो जीव हरि के संग ही समाया रहता है॥ १॥ रहाउ॥
सत्य भक्ति करने वाले जीव का मन गहन रंग में रंग जाता है तथा स्वतः ही परमात्मा में लीन रहता है।
गुरु-उपदेश द्वारा गुरुमुख जीवों का मन परमेश्वर में ऐसा मोहित हो गया है कि कुछ कथन ही नहीं किया जा सकता।
ऐसे जीवों की जिव्हा सत्य उपदेश में रत है, नाम-अमृत का पान करती है और प्रेम सहित गुणों का गायन करती है।
इस परमात्मा के आनंद को गुरु के मुख से उच्चारण होने वाले उपदेश द्वारा वही जीव पाते हैं, जिन पर उस परमात्मा की कृपा होती है।॥ २॥
यह संसार संशय रूप है, इसमें जीव आयु रूपी रात सोकर (अज्ञानता में) व्यतीत करता है।
कुछेक को वह अपनी इच्छानुसार इस संसार-सागर में से निकाल लेता है, और अपने साथ मिला लेता है।
उनके मन में परमात्मा स्वयं ही विद्यमान होता है, जिन्होंने माया का मोह त्याग दिया है।
परमात्मा ने स्वयं ही उन्हें सम्मान प्रदान किया है, जिन्हें वह गुरु द्वारा समझा देता है॥ ३॥
समस्त जीवों का दाता परमेश्वर एक है, जो विस्मृत प्राणियों को समझा लेता है।
किन्हीं जीवों को उसने स्वयं से विस्मृत आप ही किया हुआ है, उन्हें द्वैत-भाव में लगाया हुआ है।
गुरु के उपदेश द्वारा परमात्मा प्राप्त होता है तथा आत्मा को परमात्मा से मिलाता है।
नानक देव जी कथन करते हैं कि नित्य-प्रति हरि-नाम के चिन्तन में लीन होकर नाम में ही अभेद होता ॥४॥२५॥५८॥
