Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

O Dear Lord, You are the Truest of the True. All things are in Your Power.

The 8.4 million species of beings wander around searching for You, but without the Guru, they do not find You.

When the Dear Lord grants His Forgiveness, this human body finds lasting peace.

By Guru's Grace, I serve the True One, who is Immeasurably Deep and Profound. ||1||

O my mind, attuned to the Naam, you shall find peace.

Follow the Guru's Teachings, and praise the Naam; there is no other at all. ||1|| Pause ||

The Righteous Judge of Dharma, by the Hukam of God's Command, sits and administers True Justice.

Those evil souls, ensnared by the love of duality, are subject to Your Command.

The souls on their spiritual journey chant and meditate within their minds on the One Lord, the Treasure of Excellence.The Righteous Judge of Dharma serves them; blessed is the Lord who adorns them. ||2||

One who eliminates mental wickedness from within the mind, and casts out emotional attachment and egotistical pride,

Comes to recognize the All-pervading Soul, and is intuitively absorbed into the Naam.

Without the True Guru, the self-willed manmukhs do not find liberation; they wander around like lunatics.

They do not contemplate the Shabad; engrossed in corruption, they utter only empty words. ||3||

He Himself is everything; there is no other at all.

I speak just as He makes me speak, when He Himself makes me speak.

The Word of the Gurmukh is God Himself. Through the Shabad, we merge in Him.

O Nanak, remember the Naam; serving Him, peace is obtained. ||4||30||63||

Hindi Translation (हिंदी अनुवाद)

हे पूज्य-परमेश्वर ! तू ही सत्य है और सब कुछ तेरे ही वश में है।

चौरासी लाख योनियों में प्राणी गुरु-मिलन के बिना सर्वत्र भटकता रहता है और प्रभु प्राप्ति के लिए डगमगाता फिरता है।

परमात्मा की कृपा-दृष्टि हो तो क्षमा करने पर मनुष्य देह दुखों से निवृत्त होकर सदा सुख सागर में रहती है।

गुरु की दया-दृष्टि से ही प्राणी सच्चे, गहर, गंभीर परम सत्य को प्राप्त करता है॥ १॥

इसलिए हे मेरे मन ! भगवान के नाम में मग्न होने से सुख की उपलब्धि होती है।

गुरु उपदेशानुसार परमात्मा के नाम का यश गान करता जा, क्योकि इसके अतिरिक्त और कोई अन्य उपाय नहीं ॥ १॥ रहाउ॥

धर्मराज को सच्चे न्याय का उपदेश उसी परमात्मा ने प्रदान किया था केि सबके साथ बैठ कर एक सच्चा-न्याय कर।

उस महान् परमात्मा ने धर्मराज को अधिकार प्रदान किया था कि दुष्ट आत्माएँ जो लोभ, मोह, अहंकार इत्यादि विकारों में ग्रस्त हैं वह तेरे नरकों की प्रजा है।

आध्यात्मिक प्राणी जो गुणों के भण्डार से ओतप्रोत हैं तथा परमेश्वर का सिमरन करते हैं।प्रभु-भक्तों की धर्मराज स्वयं उनकी लगन से सेवा करता है, वे प्राणी धन्य हैं और उनका सृजनहार प्रभु धन्य-धन्य है॥ २॥

जिन प्राणियों ने मन के विकार मन से त्याग दिए हैं, वे मोह-अभिमान इत्यादि से मुक्त होकर निर्मल हो जाते हैं।

वे प्राणी आत्मा में ही परमात्मा को पहचान लेते हैं और सहज ही हरि नाम में लीन हो जाते हैं।

किन्तु सतिगुरु के बिना प्राणी को मोक्ष प्राप्त नहीं होता, वह मनमुखी प्राणी दीवानों की तरह दर-दर भटकता रहता है।

वह प्राणी उस प्रभु के शब्द का चिंतन नहीं करता अपितु व्यर्थ ही वाद-विवाद करता रहता है और पापों में ग्रस्त होने के कारण उस जीव की मुक्ति नहीं होती।॥ ३ ॥

पारब्रह्म स्वयं ही सर्वस्व है और इसके अलावा अन्य कोई नहीं।

पारब्रह्म जैसे प्राणी को स्वयं बुलाता है, प्राणी वैसे ही बोलता है और प्राणी उसके बुलाने पर ही बोलते हैं।

गुरु की वाणी स्वयं ब्रह्म है और गुरु के शब्द द्वारा ही प्रभु से मिलन होता है।

हे नानक ! तू उस अकाल पुरुष का नाम सिमरन कर जिसकी आराधना से तुझे शांति एवं सुख उपलब्ध होगा ॥ ४॥ ३० ॥ ६३॥
