Raag Siree Raag•Guru Amardas ji•Ang 32

 Siree Raag, Third Mehl:
Blessed is the mother who gave birth and blessed and respected is the father of one,
who serves the True Guru, finds peace and his arrogant pride is banished from within.
Standing at the Lord's Door, the humble Saints serve Him; they find the Treasure of Excellence. ||1||
O my mind, become Gurmukh, and meditate on the Lord.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad abides within the mind, and the body and mind become pure. ||1|| Pause ||
By His Grace, He has come into my home; He Himself has come to meet me.
Singing His Praises through the Shabads of the Guru, we are dyed in His Color with intuitive ease.
Becoming truthful, we merge with the True One; remaining blended with Him, we shall never be separated again. ||2||
Whatever is to be done, the Lord is doing. No one else can do anything.
Those separated from Him for so long are reunited with Him once again by the True Guru, who takes them into His Own Account.
He Himself assigns all to their tasks; nothing else can be done. ||3||
One whose mind and body are imbued with the Lord's Love gives up egotism and corruption.
Day and night, the Name of the One Lord, the Fearless and Formless One, dwells within the heart.
O Nanak, He blends us with Himself, through the Perfect, Infinite Word of His Shabad. ||4||16||49||
Hindi Translation (हिंदी अनुवाद)
श्रीरागु महला ३ ॥
वह माता धन्य है, जिसने (गुरु को) जन्म दिया और पिता भी श्रेष्ठ है।
ऐसे सतिगुरु की सेवा करके जिन जीवों ने आत्मिक सुख प्राप्त किया है और अपने अंतर्मन से अभिमान को समाप्त किया है।
ऐसे सद्कर्मी पुरुष के द्वार पर अनेक जिज्ञासु खड़े सेवा करते हुए गुणनिधान परमात्मा को पा रहे हैं।॥ १॥
हे मेरी जीवात्मा ! तुम गुरु के मुँह से उच्चारण होने वाले उपदेश द्वारा आचरण करते हुए उस अकाल-पुरुष हरि का सिमरन करो।
जब गुरु-उपदेश हृदय में धारण हो जाता है तो तन व मन दोनों पवित्र हो जाते हैं।॥ १॥ रहाउ॥
गुरु उपदेशानुसार चिन्तन करने से परमात्मा जीव पर कृपालु होकर उसके अंतर्मन में वास करता है और स्वयं उसे आकर मिलता है।
इसलिए गुरु-उपदेश द्वारा उस परमात्मा का गुणगान करें तो स्वाभाविक ही उसके प्रेम का रंग चढ़ जाता है।
इस प्रकार जीव निर्मल होकर उस सत्य स्वरूप में लीन हो जाता है और उसके साथ ही मिला रहता है, फिर कभी उससे विमुक्त होकर आवागमन के चक्र में नहीं पड़ता ॥ २॥
उस परमात्मा ने जो कुछ करना है, वह कर रहा है, इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ किया भी नहीं जा सकता।
सतिगुरु की शरण में डाल कर परमात्मा ने चिरकाल से विमुक्त हुई जीवात्मा को अपने स्वरूप में अभेद कर लिया।
वह अपनी इच्छानुसार ही जीवों से कर्म करवाएगा, इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ भी नहीं किया जा सकता ॥ ३॥
जिस जीव ने अहंत्व और विषय-विकारों का त्याग करके अपना मन व तन परमात्मा के प्रेम-रंग में लीन कर लिया है,
वह जीव निर्भय होकर अपने हृदय में परमात्मा का नाम-सिमरन करता रहता है।
नानक देव जी कथन करते हैं कि परमात्मा ने स्वयं ही ऐसे जीव को परिपूर्ण गुरु के उपदेश द्वारा अपने स्वरुप में मिला लिया है ॥ ४ ॥ १६॥ ४९ ॥
