One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:Where is That Door of Yours, and where is That Home, in which You sit and take care of all?The Sound-current of the Naad vibrates there for You, and countless musicians play all sorts of instruments there for You.There are so many Ragas and musical harmonies to You; so many minstrels sing hymns of You.Wind, water and fire sing of You. The Righteous Judge of Dharma sings at Your Door.Chitr and Gupt, the angels of the conscious and the subconscious who keep the record of actions, and the Righteous Judge of Dharma who reads this record, sing of You.Shiva, Brahma and the Goddess of Beauty, ever adorned by You, sing of You.Indra, seated on His Throne, sings of You, with the deities at Your Door.The Siddhas in Samaadhi sing of You; the Saadhus sing of You in contemplation.The celibates, the fanatics, and the peacefully accepting sing of You; the fearless warriors sing of You.The Pandits, the religious scholars who recite the Vedas, with the supreme sages of all the ages, sing of You.The Mohinis, the enchanting heavenly beauties who entice hearts in paradise, in this world, and in the underworld of the subconscious, sing of You.The celestial jewels created by You, and the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage, sing of You.The brave and mighty warriors sing of You. The spiritual heroes and the four sources of creation sing of You.The worlds, solar systems and galaxies, created and arranged by Your Hand, sing of You.They alone sing of You, who are pleasing to Your Will. Your devotees are imbued with Your Sublime Essence.So many others sing of You, they do not come to mind. O Nanak, how can I think of them all?That True Lord is True, forever True, and True is His Name.He is, and shall always be. He shall not depart, even when this Universe which He has created departs.He created the world, with its various colors, species of beings, and the variety of Maya.Having created the creation, He watches over it Himself, by His Greatness.He does whatever He pleases. No one can issue any order to Him.He is the King, the King of kings, the Supreme Lord and Master of kings. Nanak remains subject to His Will. ||1||
Hindi Translation (हिंदी अनुवाद)
ईश्वर एक है, जिसे सतगुरु की कृपा से पाया जा सकता है।हे निरंकार ! तेरा वह (अकथनीय) द्वार कैसा है, वह निवास-स्थान कैसा है, जहाँ पर विराजमान होकर तुम सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि का प्रतिपालन करते हो ? (इसके बारे में कैसे कथन करूं)।हे अनन्त स्वरूप ! तुम्हारे द्वार पर अनगिनत दिव्य नाद गूंज रहे हैं, कितने ही वहाँ पर नादिन् हैं।तुम्हारे द्वार पर कितने ही रागिनियों के संग राग कहते हैं और कितने ही वहीं पर उन रागों व रागिनियों को गाने वाले हैं।(आगे गाने वालों का वर्णन करते हैं) हे अकाल पुरुष ! तुझे पवन, जल व अग्नि देव आदि गाते हैं और धर्मराज भी तुम्हारे द्वार पर तुम्हारा यश गाता है।जीवों के शुभाशुभ कर्म लिखने वाले चित्र-गुप्त तुम्हारा ही यशोगान करते है तथा लिख कर शुभ व अशुभ कर्मों का विचार करते हैं।शिव व ब्रह्मा अपनी दैवी-शक्तियों सहित तुम्हारा गुणगान कर रहे हैं, जो तुम्हारे संवारे हुए सदैव शोभा पा रहे हैं।देवताओं के संग अपने सिंहासन पर बैठा इन्द्र भी तुम्हारी महिमा को गा रहा है।समाधि में स्थित हुए सिद्ध भी तुम्हारा यश गा रहे हैं, विचारवान साधु भी तुम्हारी प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं।तुम्हारा गुणगान यति, सत्यवादी व संतोषी व्यक्ति भी कर रहे हैं और शूरवीर भी तुम्हारे गुणों की प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं।युगों-युगों तक वेदाध्ययन द्वारा विद्वान व ऋषि-मुनि आदि तुम्हारी कीर्ति को कहते हैं।मन को मोह लेने वाली स्त्रियाँ स्वर्ग, मृत्यु व पाताल लोक में तुम्हारा यशोगान कर रही हैं।तुम्हारे उत्पन्न किए हुए चौदह रत्न व संसार के अठसठ तीर्थ भी तुम्हारी स्तुति कर रहे हैं।योद्धा, महाबली व शूरवीर भी तुम्हारा यशोगान कर रहे हैं, चारों उत्पत्ति के स्रोत भी तुम्हारे यश को गा रहे हैं।नवखण्ड, द्वीप व ब्रह्माण्ड आदि के जीव भी तुम्हारा गान कर रहे हैं जो तुम ने रच-रच कर इस सृष्टि में स्थित कर रखे हैं।जो तुम्हें अच्छे लगते हैं व तेरे प्रेम में रत हैं वे भक्त ही तुम्हारा यशोगान करते हैं।और भी अनेकानेक तुम्हारा गुणगान कर रहे हैं, वे मेरे चिंतन में नहीं आ रहे हैं।श्री गुरु नानक देव जी कहते हैं कि मैं उनका क्या विचार करूँ।सत्य स्वरूप निरंकार भूतकाल में था और वह सत्य सम्मान वाला अब भी है।पुनः भविष्य में भी वही सत्य स्वरूप होगा, जिसने इस सृष्टि की रचना की है, वह न नष्ट होता है, न नष्ट होगा।अनेक प्रकार के रंगों की और विभिन्न तरह की माया द्वारा पशु-पक्षी आदि जीवों की जिसने रचना की है, वह सृजनहार परमात्मा अपने किए हुए प्रपंच को कर-करके अपनी इच्छानुसार ही देखता है।जो उसे भला लगता है वही करता है, पुनः उस पर आदेश करने वाला कोई भी नहीं है।हे नानक ! वह शाहों का शाह शहंशाह है, उसकी आज्ञा में रहना ही उचित है॥ १॥
