Siree Raag, Third Mehl: O Dear Lord, You are the Truest of the True. All things are in Your Power. The 8.4 million species of beings wander around searching for You, but without the Guru, they do not find You. When the Dear Lord grants His Forgiveness, this human body finds lasting peace. By Guru's Grace, I serve the True One, who is Immeasurably Deep and Profound. ||1|| O my mind, attuned to the Naam, you shall find peace. Follow the Guru's Teachings, and praise the Naam; there is no other at all. ||1|| Pause || The Righteous Judge of Dharma, by the Hukam of God's Command, sits and administers True Justice. Those evil souls, ensnared by the love of duality, are subject to Your Command. Sorat'h, Third Mehl, Du-Tukas:

He Himself forgives the worthless, O Siblings of Destiny; He commits them to the service of the True Guru. Service to the True Guru is sublime, O Siblings of Destiny; through it, one's consciousness is attached to the Lord's Name. ||1||
The Dear Lord forgives, and unites with Himself. I am a sinner, totally without virtue, O Siblings of Destiny; the Perfect True Guru has blended me. So many, so many sinners have been forgiven, O beloved one, by contemplating the True Word of the Shabad. They got on board the boat of the True Guru, who carried them across the terrifying world-ocean, O Siblings of Destiny. ||2||
I fall at the feet of those who serve their True Guru, O Siblings of Destiny. I have fulfilled my life, O Siblings of Destiny, and my family has been saved as well. ||7||
The True Word of the Guru's Bani, and the True Word of the Shabad, O Siblings of Destiny, are obtained only by Guru's Grace.
O Nanak, with the Name of the Lord abiding in one's mind, no obstacles stand in one's way, O Siblings of Destiny. ||8||2||

Hindi Translation (हिंदी अनुवाद)

सोरठि महला ३ दुतुकी ॥
हे भाई ! सतगुरु की सेवा में लगाकर ईश्वर स्वयं ही गुणविहीन जीवों को क्षमा कर देता है। सतगुरु की सेवा बड़ी उत्तम है, चूंकि इसके फलस्वरूप ही चित राम-नाम में संलग्न हो जाता है ॥ १॥
परमेश्वर स्वयं ही जीव को क्षमा करके अपने साथ मिला लेता है। हे भाई ! हम बड़े गुणविहीन एवं अपराधी हैं लेकिन पूर्ण सतगुरु ने कृपा करके हमें अपने साथ मिला लिया है॥ हे प्यारे ! शब्द गुरु का चिन्तन करने से भगवान ने कितने ही अपराधियों को क्षमा कर दिया है। भगवान ने सतगुरु रूपी जहाज पर सवार करवा कर कितने ही जीवों को भवसागर से पार कर दिया है॥ २॥

हे भाई जो अपने सतगुरु की निष्काम सेवा करते हैं, हम उनके चरण स्पर्श करते हैं। हमने अपना अमूल्य मानव-जन्म सफल कर लिया है और अपने वंश के लिए भी क्षमा-दान प्राप्त कर लिया है॥ ७॥ हे भाई ! वाणी सत्य है और (गुरु का) शब्द भी सत्य है और इसकी उपलब्धि गुरु की कृपा से ही होती है। नानक का कथन है कि हे भाई ! जिसके मन में हरि-नाम का वास हो गया है, उसे कोई भी विघ्न नहीं लगता ॥ ८ ॥ २ ॥
